Thyristor contactors KT-07, KTM-630V and KT-12 are designed for integration in spot, seam and projection resistance welding machines. It is used for commutation and control of the industrial frequency single-phase current in the presence of a control unit with synchronous switching of the welding current.
The thyristor contactors are controlled by synchronous welding regulators RKS and RSHS or similar devices which output the unipolar symmetrical impulses with the following parameters:
- voltage (20 ± 5) V at 6.2 Ohm ± 5 %;
- duration (at below 15 V) - 200 mks ± 100 mks, frequency – twice as much as the mains frequency.
